Forgiveness

Representing Our Lord Jesus Christ

" 13 Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father."
Colossians 3: 13,17

It’s so important to be forgiving. Jesus was so why should we not be? He has forgiven us in so many different ways and there are more times we ask for forgiveness from him than he ask us. So why shouldn’t we forgive someone for something they said that we didn't like or what someone’s actions were? This is something I struggle with because I want to base one thing someone did and judge them by that. That is not what Jesus would do. Before He even took the cross he knew that we were going to struggle with sin, but he still did it (Romans 5:8). I’m so thankful for that today!

Colossians 3:17 is explaining to us that what ever we do each and every day, the words that you speak and the actions you take, do it to represent Jesus. As Christians, we have a big responsibility of being true with everything we do. Jesus loves us so much. We need to stay strong and close to Him because He is the light of the world, and He has overcome the world.

Represent Him by forgiving like Him.
